Abstract: In recent several years, we have found that various environmental toxicants, such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon BaP/BPDE (Adv Sci, 2024; Autophagy, 2024; Environ. Health Persp., 2023 (selected as Science Selection); Environ. Int., 2024a, 2024b, 2023; J. Hazard. Mater., 2024, 2023; Cell Biol. Toxicol. 2022a, 2022b, 2021; Sci. Total Environ. 2021; FASEB J., 2021; Ecotoxicol. Environ. Saf., 2024, 2022, 2021; Toxicol. Sci., 2022), nanoplastics (ACS Nano, 2024 (2024 ESI top 1% highly cited paper); Part. Fibre Toxicol., 2024), copper exposure (Ecotoxicol. Environ. Saf., 2024; Environ. Pollut., 2024), hypoxia (Redox Biol., 2024), or disinfection by-products of tap water (J. Hazard. Mater., 2024), could induce unexplained miscarriage, revealed their pathogenesis and biological mechanisms, and explored corresponding treatment approaches, contributing to the environment and human health.
