Dr. Xiaoyan Yuan, with the professional title of Research Fellow, is Senior Director of the Toxicology Research Department at Medicilon Preclinical Research Co., Ltd. (Shanghai). She once held positions including Director of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Bristar Co., Ltd., Toxicologist & Health Risk Assessment Expert of the Regulatory Science Department at Bayer CropScience (China) Co., Ltd., Principal Investigator, Head of the Quality Assurance Department and Associate Research Fellow at the Toxicology Evaluation Research Center of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

She has over ten years of experience in preclinical safety evaluation and regulatory toxicology of health-related products such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals and pesticides. She has supported the successful registration of two pesticide technical materials, facilitated the smooth Investigational New Drug (IND) applications of two anti-tumor cell therapy products, and helped one product obtain the U.S. Orphan Drug Designation.

Successively, she presided over 4 projects including the National Key R&D Program project "Study on the Combined Action Mechanism and Interaction Law of Mixed Pollution from Typical Pesticides and Veterinary Drugs", National Natural Science Foundation projects and military projects, and participated in more than 10 national and military scientific research projects. She has published 11 SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author in journals such as Environmental Pollution, Chemosphere and Oncotarget, and co-authored 3 monographs.

She concurrently holds academic positions including Member of the Council of the Chinese Society of Toxicology, Secretary-General of the Professional Committee of Alternative Methods and Translational Toxicology of the Chinese Society of Toxicology, and Member of the Professional Committee of Toxicology Research Quality Assurance of the Chinese Society of Toxicology. She obtained the qualification certification of Chinese Toxicologist in 2011 and the qualification of American Toxicologist (DABT) in 2023.
