Bio: Gu Zhongze is a Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor, a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK). He specializes in research on human organ-on-a-chip technology since 2011 and has published over 400 research papers in international core journals, which have been cited more than 15,000 times. He has led key scientific projects on transformative technologies under the National Key R&D Program, the 863 High-Tech Research and Development Program, key projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, special projects on instrumentation, and more. He is the dean of the State Key Laboratory of Digital Medical Engineering, and the Chairman of the Organoid and Organ-on-a-Chip Special Committee of the Chinese Society of Toxicology, as well as the Chairman of the Organoid and Organ-on-a-Chip Branch of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering.
