He is a member of the State Key Laboratory of Reproductive Medicine and Offspring Health of China and the Key Laboratory of Modern Toxicology of the Ministry of Education of China. He has previously worked as a guest researcher at the NIEHS in the United States. He focuses on environmental exosomes, metabolomics, and reproductive and developmental health. He has published 52 SCI papers in EHP, Mol Cell, and Natl Sci Rev as corresponding or first author (including co-authors); obtained 15 patents (all first); presided over three NSFC projects; won the Toxics 2022 Young Investigator Award and the Technical Innovation Award of Jiangsu Society of Toxicology (the first); and serves as an executive member of the Youth Committee of the Chinese Society of Toxicology (CST).

Abstract: Environmental exposures to chemicals have been linked to various adverse health outcomes, particularly in reproductive and developmental health. However, the complex interactions between these mixed exposures and their metabolic effects remain insufficiently understood. In this study, we established an efficient joint analysis technique for exposome and metabolome, conducting a large-scale population chemical exposure assessment. The integration of exposome and metabolome analyses was applied to investigate the mechanisms of reproductive and developmental toxicity. Based on these studies, we found new scientific evidence for key reproductive and developmental toxicants and their metabolic mechanisms. Our findings highlight the importance of exposome-metabolome integration in understanding the complex interactions between mixed environmental exposures and reproductive and developmental health.
